Service Description
Experience an authentic Italian cooking class with professional Italian chef Ilaria Bertinelli, and Canadian pastry chef Quyen. Together, the two friends will teach you cooking techniques and delicious Italian recipes that can be easily repeated back in your home. Ilaria comes from a family of farmers, and producers of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese in Parma. Quyen studied pastry at Le Cordon Bleu and has been teaching Asian and Italian cuisine. They started teaching cooking classes together during the pandemic. During the class, you’ll also learn from Ilaria the history of food and cuisine in the region, while hearing some stories from her time working on her family's parmesan farm. The menu: * Bruschetta with Parmigiano and traditional Balsamic Vinegar * Gnocchi served with Porcini mushroom sauce * Sbrisolona Cake * Bonus - wine tasting by Lyka Caparas Overview: * First, we’ll meet at Mercato Albinelli market for a coffee and then pick up local, seasonal ingredients for your cooking class * Then we'll take a short walk to a local home, where we’ll go on a Parmesan cheese journey and learn some classic Italian dishes that go well with this famous cheese * At the end, we’ll have an opportunity to share a delicious lunch together, and taste what we’ve made and go through a little wine tasting by Lyka Caparas Vegetarians are absolutely welcomed. Cancellation Policy
As we have limited availability on the course, any cancellations 1 week before class, can exchange for another course within 30 days of cancelling. No cash refunds. Later cancellations will not be eligible for anything.
